What is Beacon?
Beacon is an educational program that gives students the opportunity to solve real world problems around sustainability, through the use of emerging technologies. Students explore the realms of land, air and sea with hands-on experiences using immersive virtual reality, coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D modelling and more.
The purpose of the program
The world is dynamic and technology is rapidly changing expectations about education and future careers. Beacon aims to promote diversity and inclusion in STEM on a national scale, to keep students engaged in their education and raise awareness of future career opportunities; inspiring the next generation from future scientists and engineers to help them see the world differently.
